Philadelphia Workman’s Circle Choir

One of four Workmen's Circle choruses nationwide, has been devoted to singing Yiddish repertoire and preserving Yiddish heritage and culture since its inception in 1930. Some members have been singing with the group for as long as forty years! The chorus has been recognized for its renewed energy and enthusiasm since 2004, when Cantor Naomi Hirsch became the Music Director and Conductor. The volunteer singers rehearse weekly at Shaare Shamayim and maintain an extensive performance schedule with the goal of preserving the unique beauty of Jewish and Yiddish culture.
